Apart from rebuilding, SHIVA Charity is involved in helping the general monthly finances needed to maintaining and run schools, teacher's pay and equipment. 

However its biggest concern is to provide resource training for teachers so that they have the ability to teach in a more creative, and child- centred way, giving children the opportunity to develop self confidence, and to enjoy the experience of education, rather than the "chalk and talk" formal way of instruction.

SHIVA Charity has developed lessons and resources to distribute to its schools in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
