Jyamdi School

Jyamdi School is located about 27 kms along the Friendship Highway east of Banepa.

The school was founded in 1995 by Ramkrishna Timalsina. It is a very poor school with about 80 students serving a fishing community and is entirely funded by the parents and has no government support. The school has been generously supported by Bill Robinson, one of Shiva Charity’s loyal supporters, who has been able to visit. In 2020, Shiva Charity raised the funds to completely repaint the school inside and out in bright colours.

Our next goal is to provide clean drinking water by installing a water filter and to rebuild the toilets which are in very poor condition.
