Anil Humagain

Shiva Charity is best known for its work to improve and rebuild schools in Nepal and for supporting these schools with teacher training and lesson/curriculum planning.
Less well known perhaps is that a number of Shiva Charity supporters sponsor individual children. For a modest monthly payment, these children are assisted with the cost of their schooling including the purchase of course books and stationary. The benefits are very clear.

Sponsorship allows children to receive an education which greatly improves their chances of obtaining well-paid employment. Without this financial backing, they would likely be working long hours in the fields from a very young age just to help their families survive.
Nothing illustrates this better than the story of Anil Humagain.
Anil is a 23 year old young man who has been assisted by sponsorship through Shiva Charity since 2014. After leaving high school, he enrolled in the Padmashree International College in Kathmandu. We are extremely pleased to report that Anil has now graduated with a BA (HONS) IN BUSINESS & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT (BABHM).
A keen and talented chef, Anil is now embarking on a one year internship to hone his skills. His future plans are to spend a period of time working and studying abroad before returning to Nepal to pursue a career in the growing tourist and hospitality sector.
Anil is very grateful to Shiva Charity for all the help he has received and his anonymous sponsors somewhere have the satisfaction that they have made a real difference to the life of this very deserving young man.

If you would like the opportunity to sponsor a child and make the kind of difference sponsorship made to Anil please visit our sponsorship page for more information.
