From 6^th April 2000 it has been possible for UK taxpayers to make all their donations to charities by Gift Aid. A donation is then worth almost one third more to the charity! All it requires is that the donor fills out a declaration form (one time only for each charity) and all donations are increased in value. It does not affect the taxable status of the donor, or put him or her under any obligation to make further payments. The charity can also reclaim tax on previous donations you made after 6^th April 2000.
